Smashed Avocado has to be one of the quickest ways to prep this delicious fruit. Packed with good fats and magnesium for a healthy happy mind, it’s always a go-to for me! I like to sass mine up with some lime and chilli, alternatively some days I might swap the chilli flakes for pumpkin seeds if I am not feeling the heat. I tend to mash the whole Avocado and cover in Lime juice and leave in the fridge so I can get two days worth out the fruit. The Citrus will stop the smashed avocado from browning.
1/2 Ripe Avocado
In a bowl scoop out your Avocado, add the lime juice and salt and mash together with a fork as you would with guacamole. Taste for seasoning, I like to add extra salt if I find the avocado itself is a little bland. Brown your toast and spread the mixture on top and then add your chilli flakes, I add a 1/4 of a hand as that is enough heat for me first thing in the mornig.
